Thursday Links: Pretty Pretty Prints Edition

1. The 100 Most Insane Patterns on The Mindy Project in Order of Insanity: Mindy Lahiri is notorious for her prints and if you didn't already know that, take a gander at this slideshow for a full on spectacle of stars, stripes and spots. Some of the descriptions are a little harsh, but I guess they are in keeping with the tone of the article. Also, we'd be happy to have any number of these prints in our wardrobes!

2. Bold Prints for Your Screen: Wanting to add a little print action to your everyday life, but not bold enough to take it to the Lahiri level? Well, check out these Desktop Designs from Design Love Fest to add some colour to your computer!

3. The dream lives: A feminist professor at Rutgers is teaching a class about Beyonce. One of these links had to be about Our Queen. Read the piece here. Time to go back to school?

4. And to the Ladies Who Rocked Plaid & Ruled the School: CLUELESS FOREVER. It's almost Friday, which means it's almost time to waste your afternoon surfing the web with no end in sight! Start with this Clueless Quote Quiz. We got 100%, like duh.

Looking at Girls in Magazines: Stunners Edition

And…we're back! One of us took a hiatus to go galavanting in Europe.

Mad props to the folks over at Elle Magazine for these November Women in Hollywood covers. I mean, some of these are not surprising, but others are truly stunning. That Annette Bening looks fabulous.

Tuesday Links: Aspirational Edition

Well it's almost October and what have you accomplished? New Years is right around the corner and, no doubt, we will all be looking back questioning our every choice. I'll tell you one thing: the ladies we mention below will not be questioning their choices.

1. Best Headline Ever: "Internationally acclaimed barrister Amal Alamuddin marries an actor" from The Business Woman Media. RE-SPECT. From the article:

Amal Alamuddin, a 36 year old London-based dual-qualified English barrister and New York litigation attorney who has long been a high-profile figure in international refugee and human rights law has gone against the trend for professional women in her field and married… an actor.

Read the article here. Let's celebrate this woman for something other than her clothing & choice in romantic partner.

2. Dreamy Celebrity Homes: You've probably already seen SJP's impossibly gorgeous NYC home. It recently went on the market and took the internet by storm a few weeks ago. But just in case you haven't and have a strong desire to feel even worse about your futon and Lack side tables…check it out here. Also recently revealed is Michelle Williams' stunning pad.

3. Celebrity Crushes for Feminism. Emma Watson's UN speech was all (the well deserved) rage last week and ever since some adorable famous faces have been lending their support to the #HeForShe campaign. Nothing is sexier than a man getting his gender equality on, so prepare to swoon your feminist heart out here. We love that this campaign is making waves.

Happy Tuesday!

Several Morning(s) After: TIFF Edition

It officially ended last night but we considered ourselves lucky to have had a figurative front row seat, those lines are mad hard to beat at the Toronto International Film Festival. It descends onto our unassuming city once a year and boy does it make us feel glamorous. And we weren't the only ones, TIFF excitement seemed at an all time high this year and the red carpet fashion matched. We've been following along (in person, from a safe stalker distance) but mostly online. Here are our favorite looks from the past two weeks:

Best of the best: Keira Knightley in a Michael van der Ham dress at "Laggies" Red Carpet ... … & in Chanel at "The Imitation Game".

Best of the ladies: Octavia Spencer in anything, but at the "Black and White" Premiere wearing Tadashi Shoji.

Holliday Granger at the "Riot Club" Gala Premiere wearing Mulberry.

Amanda Seyfried on the "While We Were Young" carpet in Valentino.

Reese Witherspoon in Dolce and Gabbana at "The Good Lie" premiere.

Rose Byrne at "Adult Beginners" in Phillip Lim.

Abigail Spencer at the premiere of “This Is Where I Leave You” in Dolce and Gabbana.

Kirsten Wiig at "Welcome to Me" where we observed first hand that she has killer legs!

Gugu Mbatha-Raw at “Beyond The Lights” in a Delpozo gown. This is just plain stunning.

See more after the jump!

Seeing Double: Sitcom Hangover Edition

There are few things we love more than sitcoms about young, single professionals trying to make it in a thriving metropolis. One of our currents, The Mindy Project is premiering it's 3rd season next week (huzzah for fall TV!). In anticipation we checked out some promo photos of the cast, they couldn't help but remind us of some dearly departed friends...pun intended.

BONUS : In a Diner Edition In Bed Editon (Mindy can tackle this for Season 4!)

Happy weekend, rest up you have a heavy week of Fall premieres ahead!

Looking at Girls in Magazine: Stunning Edition

We are absolutely loving Mindy Kaling on the cover of the October 2014 issue of FLARE magazine. We pretty much approve of everything in this shoot, with one big exception: those Mrs. Clause heels are a cry for help.
